In 1946, the Izhevsk Machine Building Plant received equipment, drawings and technologies from the DKW plant, exported from Germany as reparations. In the same year, according to the drawings of the German "DKW NZ-350", the factory mastered the production of the motorcycle "Izh-350". The motorcycle was adapted for domestic electrical equipment and devices. In general, the overall look and design was almost identical with the German original.
